Toledo

Once an ignored destination, Toledo (Spain's former capital) stands magnificently over the hill top bordered by River Tagus (Rio Tajo) from all sides. This 'imperial city' was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, between 1986 and 1987. That's why, the city is sometimes known as the "City of the Three Cultures".

At present, the cobbled streets of this old city remains crowded with tourists and locals for most part of the year. After twilight the peaceful face of the city changes dramatically into an energetic one.
